My mother had only a few prized possessions in her lifetime. One of those items was a small strand of pearls. Throughout my life whenever a significant event occurred, my mother let me wear her pearl necklace. One consistent type of life event was that of educational milestones. I’ve worn this necklace when I graduated from elementary school, Jr. high school and high school. Now, on the eve of graduating from college, I found myself thinking of ways to commemorate reaching my goal. The 1st though that came to my mind and swept across my heart was wearing my mother’s prized pearls. Thank you, mom, for celebrating with me throughout my life!
College graduation on Saturday! BA in Adult Education, Summa Cum Laude. In the fall I start graduate school.
This coming spring, I will be traveling throughout the UK for a couple of weeks and doing some plein air sketching and photography. I get chills thinking about viewing another Monet, this time in London. A Pallete to Canvas series of paintings will become the result of this visual adventure. Stay tuned my creatives; good things are coming!
